Het is een hele klus, een plaid van kleine stukjes stof. Maar er begint steeds meer tekening in te komen nu ik blokken kan maken. Het ziet er wel een beetje 'bobbelig' uit maar ik hoop dat dat beter wordt als ik het strijk en verder aan elkaar zet. Anders moet ik opnieuw beginnen....
It's a lot of work but I can see a pattern in it now so that encourages me to continue.
Een jellyrol is duidelijk niet genoeg dus ik heb een tweede besteld en ben met frisse moed weer aan het snijden. Hoop dat dit voldoende is.

Voordat ik aan quilten begon, was ik eigenlijk altijd aan het borduren. Daarom kon ik de stitch swap van Wild Olive niet weerstaan. Gelukkig gaat het om een werkstukje binnen een borduurring van 10 centimeter doorsnede. Het probleem is meer een geschikt patroontje te vinden.
As I love cross stitch I couldn't resist the stitch swap of Wild Olive. I have to make something in a 4'' hoop so it's not a lot of work. I think it's more difficult to find a nice pattern fot the person I have to send it to.
Zo, de stitchery voor de stitch swap is gereed en ik ga 'm zo op de post doen (to the States). Ik had een patroontje op internet opgezocht maar die was te groot. Ik heb dus iets moeten improviseren. Best leuk, om te borduren in zo'n kleine borduurring, had ik nog nooit eerder gedaan. Nu maar hopen dat diegene aan wie ik het moet sturen het ook leuk vindt. De achterkant van de borduurring vond ik nog lastig te verwerken. Ik heb zelf nog niets ontvangen, ik ben benieuwd.
I have finished the stitch swap and am going to post it to the States in a minute. It's the first time I made a stitchery in such a little hoop, I'm actually a cross stitcher myself. But I liked doing it although it was difficult to make the backsite. I hope that the woman I made it for likes it. I haven't received mine yet, I'm very curieus.
